Still assessing our needs

Are there standard export/import formats for CRMs. I've been looking at Charity Log http://www.charitylog.co.uk and would like to know how these may differ?

Is there any integration with Joomla! 1.0.x for CiviCRM?

Advice appreciated.

Hey nonickname :)

I think most of your comparison questions can be answered by looking at the feature list available for each component at www.civicrm.org.  It looks like the solution you mentioned has some employee time tracking capabilities? CiviCRM definitely isn't a productivity suite for organizations.

I would vouch for CiviCRM's community and development progress as illustrated by 2.1 stable being out (and that's only available for Joomla 1.5, although earlier versions, though no longer recommended, are available for 1.0x).

Peace,
T.j.

Thanks for your reply, it's not always easy to compare when both sides features are either not available or easy to compare. The other I mention is not open source as such and I suspect may be a version either if CivicCRM or SugarCRM.
