Adding taxes to event fees
October 09, 2008, 09:25:10 am
Hi folks,

When creating a price set, I don't see anywhere to add a "plus tax" (in our Canadian case, GST to add 5%). Only option is through Paypal, but it seems the receipt emailed by CiviEVENT doesn't show that tax if it's added at the Paypal level.

Any ideas? Can't seem to find docs on tax.

Thanks,
Greg

we currently dont handle any tax aspect with civievent. (might be a good addition/contribution for a future release)

The easiest option might be to include the GST in the price and explain that on the page (as text somewhere). I do realize thats not a great solution :(

Thanks Lobo, you're right, it's not great, but it'll work. Thanks for the quick reply!

I can't find the file right at the moment but there is a .tpl you can edit so that the e-mail that gets sent includes GST no or whatever you need to make it work as a tax invoice

Found it -

templates/CRM/Event/Form/Registration/ReceiptMessage.tpl
