Contribute Form Fields stores last submitted value
October 09, 2008, 02:12:30 pm
Hi guys, I've looked for a explanation of this around but haven't found anything, sorry if I just didn't look hard enough.

Every time I click on my contribution link, it has the email, first name, street address, city, state, postal code and zip stored from what the last user entered through their donation.

Also I don't see a Lock symbol notifying that the page is secure, isnt that a huge problem?

Thanks,
Derek

1. if you are logged in we assume the contribution information is from the logged in user and update that person's information. You should try your test donations when you are not logged in

2. Using SSL is an option for the admin (u might not need it if using paypal standard). check: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/url?reset=1

Sweet that was my problem.  Thanks so much

Are you saying I could enable SSL if the admin was using the contribute?  I am using a emulator through my Payment Gateway for the Authroize.Net AIM payment processor.

Is there no security at all currently?

The admin has the option of putting all transaction pages (for all users) under SSL. The admin will need to ensure that they have an https server and a valid certificate etc before they can turn on that option

A good admin will ensure that all transaction pages are under SSL.
