create new household from individual contact form?

The address information from an Indiivdual's contact form allows the option to "Use household address", and the instructions imply that a new household can be created by entering one in the search box.

"You can either select an existing household, or create a new one. ...If the household doesn't exist yet, type in the new household name."

However an error occurs if this is done and no new household can be created.  Either the instructions or the functionality should change. (Ideally the functionality would support this, it seems like a good idea).

On the demo:
1. Select use household address, type in a new household name and hit Save.
2. See the form validation error "Please select a household from the 'Select Household' list"


Is this a bug or am I interpreting thins wrong?

It’s a bug. I filed CRM-3693 to track this.

Kurund just fixed on the 2.1 branch, so this should be fixed in the upcoming CiviCRM 2.1.2.
