This, of course, is assuming you use CiviCRM 2.1.1. In general, please update you forum profile information with the configuration you use.

Thanks for the answer. I did download the package. But I can not extract it and I cannot find a tool for it on Internet. I am working under Windows Vista.

Any sane extracting utility should handle .tar.gz files properly – I’m sure WinRAR does, and the list seems quite long: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_file_archivers#Reading

Sorry my stupidness.... I am new user.
"Create a directory under your CiviCRM codebase root directory called l10n and uncompress the tarball into that directory. You should now see a set of sub-directories named using their locale codes. (Example: the Canadian French translation files will located in /civicrm/l10n/fr_CA)"

What is or where is this CiviCRM codebase root directory?
Where exactly i have to extract that file?

I cant manage to change language....

you have to create your root folder for language pack here
...\administrator\components\com_civicrm\civicrm

once it's done go in crm admin to change your language.

The description of the uploading of the language files that is both in pdf and html instruction seems to be not quite correct. Inside the tarball there are 2 catalogues: l10n  and sql both within the catalogue: "civicrm". When uploading the whole civicrm catalogue, nothing changes to the languages menu in admin. When You upload the catalogue: l10n immediately to the root, it seems OK, because the new language choices appear on the list in admin.  But what about "sql" catalogue.  In root there is "sql" catalogue. Is it correct to overrwrite the catalogue with the new? Should the content of "sql" catalogue with languages be added to the global sql cataloog in the root of Civicrm?

Yes. The civicrm directory represents the CiviCRM installation’s root.

This is the desired process (and result). :)

But what about "sql" catalogue.

This directory holds localised (usually partially…) SQL files; these files should be used for pre-populating the CiviCRM database with localised values if you want to use them; otherwise, you need to edit by hand stuff like contact prefixes/suffixes, etc.

Hallo Johan,

voor een Nederlandse vertaling:

  • download het bestand *.l10n.tar.gz van Sourceforge : sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php;
Succes....
