Editing event record post-upgrade
October 15, 2008, 01:03:54 pm
There was a known issue in v2.0 where editing an event record could result in the loss of the event fee data (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,4217.0.html).

That's fixed in v2.1, primarily because there's better use of tables to store the event fee options in separate fields rather than as a single joined string.

However, it would appear that old data is impacted. I'm working with a v2.1 upgraded from v2.0. When I view the event record in the event tab, the event fee field is populated. But if I edit the record, no value is recorded for the event fee, and I can't save the record (because the event fee is a required field). Because the event was recorded with a payment, the event fee field is uneditable.

Long and short is that event data upgraded from v2.0 can't be edited.

Brian:

Can you send your 2.0 database to deepak[at]webaccess.co.in, we can check and revert.
