MySQL Question - InnoDB or MyISAM
June 27, 2007, 10:07:57 am
If i change MySQL installtion from InnoDB to MyISAM, will it make any difference on the working of CiviCRM ?
I am getting some foreign key constraint errors typical of InnoDB storage engines and it can be solved by using MyISAM but i am not sure if it will have any adverse affect on CiviCRM.

In general we don't recommend changing to MyISAM for CiviCRM. If you're getting foreign key errors using CiviCRM, it generally means there's a problem in the installation or you've hit some bug - so it's best if you check for the specific errors on the forum - and post if you don't find a solution.
