Hello, I can`t seem to figure out what I`m doing wrong.

Following the install from directory instructions, I unzipped the 'civicrm-2.1.1-joomla.zip' file to
/joomla-root/administrator/components/com_installer/component/

which gave me a folder:

/joomla-root/administrator/components/com_installer/component/com_civicrm

however when I go to install from directory I am getting this message

Installation file not found:
/joomla-root/administrator/components/com_installer/component/com_civicrm


there are only 3 files outside the 'admin' folder in 'com_civicrm'

civicrm.html.php
civicrm.php
civicrm.xml

am I missing a file?

1. Note CiviCRM v2.1 is officially NOT compatible /w Joomla 1.0.x (which i guess is what you currently trying to setup)

2. For installing CiviCRM v2.0 on Joomla 1.0.x refer - http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Install+2.0+for+Joomla

3. For installing CiviCRM v2.1 on Joomla 1.5.x refer - http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Install+2.1+for+Joomla

Hello, thanks for getting back to me.

Unfortunately I am on Godaddy, and cannot move for the time being.

From what I have gathered in the forums, 2.1 and joomla 1.5 will just not work on godaddy (I wish I had read that beefore updating to joomla 1.5 and spending all afternoon trying to install)

I had an old version of civicrm working on joomla 1.0.x for a different client on godaddy, but I no longer have the old install files.

On the download page only 2.1 is available - which I guess means that the thousands of joomla 1.0.x users are out of luck.

Is there any way to download older versions of civicrm?

2.0 maybe?

Go to - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=177914&package_id=205038 and select a latest 2.0.x package (right now its v2.0.6).

I am getting this same error with Joomla 1.5..

I have the same directories after unzipping and get same error..

Am I missing anything?
