using CiviCRM 1.7.9379. on joomla 1.0.12 .
In advanced search all the tabs expand except events
- so events criteria can't be searched on. - and it's intermittent (firefox and explorer) and i can't duplicate on demo site coz i can't log in to administrator (is it demo demo?)

I noticed this phenomenon previously with the memberships tab - this was before civievents even existed so maye it's just the bottom tab on the page which won't expand?

Lesley - I'm pretty sure your problem is related to clicking the Events "bar" before the entire page has loaded. This is a problem we fixed in the current 1.7 revision (9821) with help from Jacob Singh who valiantly debugged the behavior. You can verify that this is indeed the issue by waiting "a long time" between when you navigate to Advanced Search and when you first click the Events bar (make sure the loading spinner has stopped etc.). It should expand the Events search fields if you've waited long enough. However if you've clicked too soon - it will "never" expand properly (with the older version) - unless you reload the entire search page.

If this is the case, you can fix by applying the latest rev over your install (no DB or other changes of course). The newer code only loads each "section" as the corresponding title bar is clicked - which is the behavior we were looking for all along.
