Software Ability: email notifications, frontend event add
October 19, 2008, 11:20:56 pm
Hello

I am enjoying programming civiCRM for an offroad group here in Saudi Arabia.

However, I have questions:

As a members only (log in / limited access) site:

1.  Does the software provide the facility to have user add events from the front end? All I can see is the event listing.

2.  Can the event owner (adding from the front end) receive registration emails from those going on trips?

3.  Can the software send out mass emails to members to notify them that a new trip has been added?

I have checked the documentation and the forum but can't find an answer.

Thanks

Im interested in the 3. question: Can the software send out mass emails to members to notify them that a new trip has been added?

Couldn't find anything about event notification, is it possible?

If you mean automaticllay as a result of adding a new Event - not that i know of - you would just need to use CiviMail to announce the new event.
