in general please start only one topic / issue. starting multiple topics does not help (i've deleted the other similar topic)

can you try the steps you did on demo and see if u can replicate the issue (dying?)

will help if you give more details on what you did and what did not work

My apologies for starting new similar posts.

Since my host has php 5.1.6, I am only able to run Civi 2.03.  I would WELCOME the chance to run 2.1.  I thought I could work around it with civicrm20compat module but the install would not proceed without php 5.2.

I was not aware there was still a working test site for 2.0 and can not find one.  Please let me know where I can find a test 2.0 site and I will demo my issue.

By the way, I am using, from the info file, civicrm_subscribe.info,v 1.1.2.2 2008/04/29 15:11:15 douggreen

What happens is when the user enter email, name and such, the screen goes blank.  I have tried for about 9 man-hours trying to put in print_r() statement to see where it's going bad.

I started another thread a week ago and it died without resolution (http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,5134.msg22566.html#msg22566), sorry Lobo but I really need help with this one.

The module does not seem very difficult from a php perpective.

A couple of install notes:
it does NOT create the tables, civicrm_subscribe or civicrm_subscribe_form.  I just realized, from reading the code, I installed mysql instead of mysqli.  Is there any reason these tables in the code won't work with mysql?

Any help is VERY much appreciated!

Thanks.

Here are several patches and updates on going to civicrmcubscribe:
http://drupal.org/node/235904
http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3008.0.html

And a patch dated 16 Oct 2008:
http://drupal.org/files/issues/235904_1.patch

2 questions:
- if there is a patch, why isn't the original module updated? (I am asking beacuase I am new to the Drupal ways)
- in the patch, is there an easy way to apply the patch or do I have go line by line and make changes?

Thanks.
