Searching for Search Builder
October 21, 2008, 06:19:41 am
Hi,
We just upgraded to 2.1.1 Drupal 6.5. I would like to make the "Search Builder" available as a menu choice but I can't seem to find it. Only Advanced Search and Basic search appear. Can someone tell me what I need to do to enable this great feature?

Thanks,
Cynthia

Cynthia:

When you click on "Find Contacts", you will see the menu option for Search Builder.

Thanks Kurund. It appears that some of our sites display the Search Builder when you click on Find contacts, and some don't, so I think this is just a site configuration issue. I'm not sure what some of our users did to "hide" the search builder, so if you have any ideas on that, let me know. Meanwhile, I'll keep poking around  :)

Thanks for your help,
Cynthia

I don't think its possible to remove "Search Builder" option, unless you modify code.

Well... I don't know what to say. All I can tell you is that, on some of our sites, when you click on Find Contacts the search builder does not display. And trust me Kurund, none of our users would know how to modify code. I'll post back when I figure it out.

Thanks again,
Cynthia

I knew it was going to be something "stupid" and it was. The sites with the problem did not have the "CiviCRM Menu" enabled. Once I enabled that menu, the Search Builder showed up immediately.

Thank you  :-[
