Updating Contact Details

I would like to send out a mass email asking the contacts to check their current details with the database and to update them if they are out of date. Is this possible via CiviCRM?

1. create a profile of the details that you would want the contact to update

2. Send a mass email via civimail using contact tokens and their current details. Also include the contact checksum token with a link to the profile created in 1 above. You might want to search for "contact AND checksum" on this forum to get more answers/explanation on this feature

3. Users can click on the link for a limited duration (7 days) and edit their profile
