Contributors for French Translations

Hi everyone,
French translation for civicrm is not complete and i, then, would like to make a call to all motivated french translators with this thread.
It would be great to coordinate all of our contributions and discuss  whether a term is good or not for exemple etc...

However, any help would be nice!

thanks in advance.

Long

I agree to pursue the translation with more coordination.
Discuss the better translation for some words is a good idea.
For example, I had some difficulties with the translation of groups of words with "label" and "case". I don't really understand the meaning of the concept and don't know what is the best translation.

And maybe as French translators and French-spoken people, we can speak French.

Salut Aurialie,

We’d rather you kept using Pootle (it’s much simpler for us to manage the contributions from multiple translators this way), but if you want the .po files, you can get them by clicking on the Show Editing Functions link.

Bonjour

La traduction pour la 2.07 a été terminée hier :D. Quand le fichier .MO sera t il disponible ? Seule l'ancienne version est actuellement téléchargeable sur Sourceforge.
Dés que j'aurai un peu de temps, je m'attaquerai à la traduction de la version suivante.

Hi
French Translation for v 2.07 has been finished yesterday :D. When will the .MO file be dowloadable ? Only the old version is actually available on Sourceforge.
As soon as I've time, I'll be working on the translation of the next version.

Wow! This is absolutely great – the first 100% CiviCRM translation! Your contributions are most appreciated. :)

When will the .MO file be downloadable?

We most probably won’t be releasing CiviCRM 2.0.8 anytime soon, but the French MO file can be downloaded from our code repository.

Thanks! I copied all of the French translations for strings that didn’t change from 2.0 to 2.1, so you won’t be doing any double work.

Sorry to have drop down this french contributor pages.... i've been very busy those times...
There's an issue with this translation page (i'm still on 2.1.4, maybe that's the problem 'cause ihaven't succed to reproduce the error on demo site)
I think it's the </ a> instead of </a> that mess up links in page.
So it's impossible for me to create a joomla account on contribution page (redirect me on first page login when ticking box)  or when importing (each time i select an option it opened new windows on http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/pages/tinyurl.action?urlIdentifier=YDY).

In the code there is a <!-- a--> that appears instead of </a>

Thank u

Note that demo runs CiviCRM 2.2. I tried to reproduce this on my 2.1 sandbox (after switching the language to French), but couldn’t – although I’m not sure what exactly is the problem.

Can you please give me a step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce this bug? (Note that the above link to our wiki doesn’t work, so if it was supposed to explain anything it didn’t.)

Hi,
only change i made was including language file for 2.1 from sourceforge.

Here's the issue on my webpage:
http://www.apb.ch/v2/index.php?option=com_civicrm&Itemid=92

This is a contribution page. When you click on " Créer un compte ?" (Create an account) it redirects me to the first page.
It's like the link just before (Connectez-vous or login in english) had no end link anchor </a>

I've try to search a reason on po files because when i switch to english there's no problem. I suspect the presence in po files of the adding space in </ a> instead of </a>.

Thx for your quick answer. I hope you understand my explanation.

Now i have to hunt where this problem appears again.
So far, problem appears in first page of import contact and also search builder...

Any idea why is it happening only in french language?

I think problem is due to cache fields, we have fixed cache cleanup after localization change in v2.2
this patch might help you http://fisheye.civicrm.org/browse/CiviCRM/trunk/CRM/Admin/Form/Setting/Localization.php?r1=18970&r2=19091

Ok, I investigated this issue thoroughly and it’s indeed caused by the space in the </ a> tags in French files. I’ll fix all the French files in one go today.
