error when using include/exclude groups custom search
October 27, 2008, 09:29:58 am
I found this error on our 2.1 installation and on the demo.

  • I created a smart group of everyone in the database.
I then created a smart group of every donor.
I went to the custom search of include/exclude and included the everyone group and excluded the donors (to find all non donors).
    I then received this error:

Quote
DB Error: syntax error

Database Error Code: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND contact_a.id NOT IN ( SELECT contact_id FROM ' at line 5, 1064

Is this type of search not possible or is it just a bug?

EDIT: it works if both groups are regular groups.

thanks for the help
tony
