Hi there,

I am using CiviCRM 2.1.1 standalone version.

I modify the import function. When I load a csv file with the value "0" and "1" for "male" and "female", I get the error "Invalid value for field(s) : Gender".

I check the comment of the DB. It says the type of field "gender_id" is "integer". So I think the value of "0" and "1" for this field should be fine. I have no idea why this happened.

If anyone can help me with this, that will be great!

I check the demo program online. It use "1" for Female, "2" for male. I make the change to my program. But the error is still there.

Is there anyone who can help me? It just drives me crazy!

Sure

Male = Male

Female = Female

I strongly recommend that before doing an Import you create some Contacts and Export the fields you plan on importing. That way you can be sure you get the data format correct.
