Problem installing Civic CRM Help Help
November 09, 2008, 04:03:03 pm
I am a newbie to Joomla.  I am having problems installing Civic CRM. I have uploaded it to the godaddy server. I am using Dreaweaver FTP.

Then I went to install it in Joomal and it gives me the error: "Please enter package directory".  What does this mean?

I am using this path : /administrator/components/com_installer/com_civicrm

Am I missing something? What am I doing wrong?    I have been trying most of the day and getting the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am new guy too, for me, FTP timed out & bogged down when I try to upload large files like CiviCRM. U are trying choice 2 on that install,  U might try choice 1,  install>browse>CiviCRM1.2.1.zip > install. Worked much better for me recently.  It took my server 3-5 minutes to complete the task, be patient don't quit.  Hope it works for you.
