Temporary Domain used in CiviCRM Admin Area, not Real Domain Name
November 10, 2008, 09:21:27 am
We initially installed CiviCRM before the DNS was transferred over, so it was installed on a temporary URL, not the real final domain name.  Now in CiviCRM while in the Admin, it switches to the temporary domain name when you submit forms.  How do we get it to use the real domain name?

I did change it in as many places as I could find, but I am obviously missing something.

Thanks for your help.

Open:
administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/civicrm.config.php

Check to see if the url is correct there.

That was already changed, and we still have the same problem.  Any other suggestions?

Joomla installs have two settings files: <joomla_root>/components/com_civicrm and <joomla_root>/administrator/components/com_civicrm

Login to Drupal or to Joomla Administrator and enter the following URL in your browser:

    * Joomla sites: http://<joomla_site>/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1

Thank you.  That seemed to fix it. :)
