Hi all, I use CiviCRM 2.1.1. My issue is that i need to provide a different set of price to the people who are registering early, late etc... How do i proceed with it. I tried fiddling with "Discounts by Signup Date?" by creating the discount sets. But am not able to follow and make it work. Can anyone please advice me on how to proceed with the issue.

Secondly i need to provide different prices for member and non-members.

I need to give a quote on this. Please some help me out.

Hi lobo thank you very much for the reply. My requirement is that i need to give some discounts for the people who are registering to the event early (may be between the two specified dates). for example when the seminar is on december 1st 2008. I should be giving some discount for the people who are registering between the dates nov 15 2008 and non-25-2008. I should be able to give increase the price for the people who are registering after nov 25 because of late payments.

Steps I did:
1.  CiviCRM  >> Administer CiviCRM  >> Joomla Workshop Registration >> Configure >> Event Fees

2. Checked the option "Discounts by Signup Date?"

3. created a new discount set as early payment and specified the start date and end date.

4. Clicked the button add discount set to fee table

5. Created the same set of options for the discounted set fees table.

6. Saved the data.

After following steps still i get the regular fees label and not the discounted fees label. I checked the doucumentation and it dosen't contain any information about the discaounted fees structure.

I presume that is it mandatoy to enable discounts setting in the site for the events. I have no idea how to do if it has to be done.

Thanks for the reply. I tried setting up discounts in the demo site and it worked very well but i did the same kind of thing in my localserver (in my office) but it didn't work as it is expected. Is there any way that you can help me out solving the problem. I think there is a need to enable discount option somewhere globally. Please correct me if I am wrong.

One thing i noticed,the change did reflect in the events registration pagehttp://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/register&id=3&reset=1&action=preview, but not in the events information page http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/info&id=3&action=preview&reset=1&Itemid=55.
