CiviCRM and Drupal Themes
November 12, 2008, 03:49:15 pm
Hi guys,

Is it possible to use Drupal themes to change look and feel of CiviCRM pages - CiviEvent, CiviMail pages etc.

Thanks,
Sharad.

I tried using Drupal themes to change look and feel of my website. Some themes (like ability) appear to work, but others (ad_lemon-twist) don't. When I used ad_lemon-twist theme there was no way for me to navigate to CiviCRM pages.

Ahhhh, just seen this and has got me confused. I thought CiviCRM was integrated tightly with Drupal and so theming was done once for both aspects.

So does Civi have to be themed separately?

CiviCRM uses a different template library (smarty). Higher level changes to your drupal theme affect CiviCRM, however within the civicrm-container area you'll need to modify / customize civicrm template files

Ah right... So essentially it's a case of customising two themes one for Drupal and one for CiviCRM...
