Joomla install - PCRE error

Hello,

Just about have 2.1 working on Joomla 1.5.7 but the following errors still show on every Civicrm page:

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: PCRE does not support \L, \l, \N, \P, \p, \U, \u, or \X at offset 6 in /my_path/joomla/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Converter.php on line 553

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: PCRE does not support \L, \l, \N, \P, \p, \U, \u, or \X at offset 6 in /my_path/joomla/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/packages/IDS/Converter.php on line 571

I've searched the forums and Googled with no luck. Any ideas?

i found this issue via a google search on: "PCRE does not support \L"
