html newsletter generation module - select a page and email through CiviMail

Hi All,
I have been looking for any further discussion on this old Nabble post:

It discusses the creation of a newsletter generation module that allows one to select a webpage form ones site and send it as HTML through Civimail.

Does anyone know if this has progressed anywhere, or if there is a way to make this happen through CiviMail?
