I'm using CiviCRM 2.1.beta4. and drupal 6 and have also recreated this in the sandbox.

my imported contacts ended up with country = Guatemala? (but this is not the problem)
if I change them individually (to Australia) address remains intact.
if I batch update via profile the following fields are emptied:
address, city, state and postal code

i only have the country field in my profile - should I add those other address fields or is this a bug?

After analysis, address fields are get erased only when we update country from any other to default country.
(ie default country in global setting -> localization )
