2.1.2 "key"

I'm trying to get my cronjobs back up and running with the new "key" parameter in v2.1.2
I still get the "ERROR: You need to send a valid key to execute this file." message, though I've confirmed the key text in my two settings files definitely matches the cron url.

Any suggestions on how best to debug this?

make sure your key is greater than 8 characters.

can u edit: CRM/Utils/System.php, function authenticateKey (line 412) and add some debug statements in there and figure out which specific condition is not being met

Problem turned out to be the password, not the key.
The Joomla password for the user had a # symbol in it, which apparently broke the url.

I updated the wiki to indicate the username and password must also be free from unsafe characters, and added the # symbol to the list.
