Using CiviCRM 2.0.5

We recently launched CiviMember and have begun getting sign-ups for our membership program (woohoo!).

However...

I keep getting meetings scheduled with the following parameters:

• Subject: {membership type - donation page title}
• Added by: {Member name}
• with: n/a
• Assigned to: n/a
• Date: {12:00am after signup}
• Status: scheduled

The date jives with when I am running cron on CiviMember.

This is only happening with a subset of membership sign-ups & I can't figure out the difference between the people who are getting meetings scheduled and those who are not.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I've had no luck with Google, the forums, or the issue cue. I don't see anything in the settings for CiviMember, etc, which would cause this.

Any ideas?
