imapsoap Civimail and no catch-all option....
November 26, 2008, 12:31:23 pm
I need to setup civimail on someone else server.
They have no catchall option.
So not sure how to keep the mail on their server for this account (civimail@example.com) while making this work.

I am using the url links to opt out of emails so that is easy.
But what happens to all the bounces, will they go back to civimail@example.com or a db driven prefix@example.com?
I am using the imap soap script on this one.

The only other option I could think of if the above does not work is to set another mx record higher then their main one. Setup civimail@example.com on that server and not theirs. Then when mail comes to their server with no proper address it will forward it to the server that can store and handle the civimail@example.com.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
