captcha for standalone event registration

Editing profile  extended feature you can activate captcha. However it warns that this does not work for standalone Forms.

Nice!!

What am I meant to do? I am working with standalone but also need captcha to fend off any kiddy who likes to mess up my database with senseless input.

Can you give me some solution ideas you have thought about already.?

standalone has a different meaning in this case. We give the option for folks to cut-n-paste an HTML form into their own specific page etc (which exists outside of civicrm). In this case captcha wont work (since the form is not generated dynamically)

Editing a profile within the standalone version of CiviCRM should work

With standalone I have found that it does work in Joomla to put a standalone in a content item and to use captcha IF you have a key for the site where the form is located.
