Moved site - country lookups no longer work...
November 28, 2008, 12:38:36 pm
Help! I've moved a site from staging to live. I've gone through and updated resource URLs etc. The country / prov lookups simply aren't there on the screen any more. It's on a garland theme.

What I am seeing is country / prov ID #s.

Please help! This is live data ..

Thanks so much :)

Adam

You need to go back into the configuration and re-enable the countries and provinces. At least I did.

Hmm, I've tried both of these solutions. Neither appear to be working.

Although my ISP has to delete these template_c/* files cause they're locked down.

Another thing which is weird that I am noticing is this:
<code>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/dojo.js" djConfig="isDebug: false, parseOnLoad: true, usePlainJson: true" ></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dojo/commonWidgets.js"></script><style type="text/css">@import url(http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/packages/dojo/dijit/themes/tundra/tundra.css);</style><script type="text/javascript" src="http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/js/calendar.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/js/lang/calendar-lang.php?en_US"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://<<mysite.com>>/sites/all/modules/civicrm/js/calendar-setup.js"></script>
</code>

It's all on one line. No line breaks.

All of the other scripts etc are on their own lines. This one is highlighted in grey in Firefox code view.

I've not changed anything to do with the code base on this site install.

Any tips? The site already has imported data and wiping it after all of this work really isn't a feasable option.

I'm so close to having this work.

Help! Please :)

Thanks,
Adam

can u get on IRC (http://embed.mibbit.com/?server=irc.freenode.net&channel=%23civicrm&forcePrompt=true). We can help you there. We'll potentially need ssh access to your server. Ensure you have it before you ping us on IRC

I have to thank Donald Lobo sincerely as he came on IRC in his own time and helped me out.

Thanks so much.

As for the fix :
all is was is an inconsistency in how I was addressing the main URL in the resource URL areas and the civicrm.settings.php file.

Some of them were referring to:
http://www.mysite.com
and some
http://mysite.com

As it were, I changed them all to refer to http://www.mysite.com - et voila.

Things are back to the way they should have been all along.

Much thanks again Donald. This is a really fantastic product and a wonderful community. As I learn more, I hope to be able to contribute more. I'm more in to the Drupal side of things, but with more exposure to the tools, I like it more and more.

Best regards,

Adam

Oh .. .my ...

In all my happiness with the fix, it's only part of the issue.

Now, the dates aren't showing properly...

I had made some custom fields. Those fields were date formats. Now the years are missing.

The format I was using was Jul 24, 2004 as an example.

I'm a little confused now!

Thanks
