Dashboard & relationships
December 02, 2008, 09:21:57 am
I'm setting up front-end dashboard in Joomla.  When viewing my own dashboard, my existing relationships did not initially display.  Edit and save on a relationship added that relationship to the dashboard.  Is there a global fix?

I selected the view/edit checkbox for my household in the household relationship.  Clicking on the dashboard link for my household on my own dashboard displays an empty household dashboard - no groups, no relationships displayed.

Are any others using this feature and does it work for you?

The demo user's relationships do not display in the Drupal demo's My Dashboard...

Yes it is working for us but can't confirm if it only works for relationships that were created in 2.1 since the one I checked was a new set up. See image and note that it shows under my 'contacts and organisations'.

Good luck

Relationships need to be "permissioned" to display in the Contact Dashboard. This happens "automatically" when you make a contribution or signup for membership using the "On Behalf of an Organization ..." feature. Otherwise, you need to manually permission the relationship by editing it and checking the box -

[ x ] 'contact name' can view and update information for  'related contact name'
