Address fields not being saved
July 07, 2007, 03:33:45 pm
Hello all -
I'm running the latest stable release of CiviCRM 1.7.9821. As luck would have it, when I create an individual contact which includes a complete address, it saves initially; however, on any subsequent saves, the address is completely removed / deleted. I initially had Yahoo geocode mapping turned on, but with or without mapping on, I experience the same issue.

I don't even have to modify anything in the contact record, simply editing the record => hit save removes / deletes the contact address. No other fields are affected (other fields stay intact).

This is a clean installation, it's not being upgraded from a previous version.
any help is appreciated.

We haven't had reports of this type of "mis-behavior"  :-(

Of course, try and replicate on the 1.7 demo with the same configuration and input as much as possible and see if you get this behavior. One area to particularly look at is the Location Types you've configured for your site (try setting up one or more of the same ones on the demo). If this doesn't surface  anything, perhaps someone else on the team will have some ideas of how to debug this.
