online registration and profiles

Hi all, I created an event and a profile to fill up. In the profile I have the first name, last name and email. When I see the form, i see email at the top instead clubbed up with the other fields. Can't I bring the email address with the other two fields..

Even if you don't include email in profile, email will be shown on top. Currently email is required for Event registration, hence it is done that way and we remove it from profile.

okay kurund thank you so much for the reply, If I remove it from the default profile and create a new profile and add a field - email. Will I be able to avoid getting it display at the top. Anyways I will try all the possibilities and will get back.

Sorry I just dont get it - why cant we have the email field with the main registration profile?
Or how do we do this?

its a bug / deficiency / missing feature in the current system

If you'd like to work on a patch to fix this contact us on IRC and we can figure out some potential solutions. You'll need to be fairly good with PHP and OOP to modify the code. However it would make a great contribution :)
