Fatal error when importing custom fields with CiviMember
December 04, 2008, 10:07:22 am
Hi there,

A little bit stumped by a problem I am encountering when uploading custom data as part of a membership import.  Have tried and failed to isolate where the problem is coming from.

I have two custom data checkbox columns (and have recreated one of these in the drupal demo site under LINk membership) and am importing the attached CSV file (limited to 3 results).

I can get as far as Import Now and then get the following error

Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /var/www/drupal-6.6/sites/all/modules/civicrm/CRM/Member/Import/Parser/Membership.php on line 450.

I did get it to work a couple of times (and at one point thought it happened when the import encountered an empty set of checkboxes) and it works fine on the drupal demo but locally (Drupal 6.4 and 2.1.2) at the moment all the imports fail.

I am indentifying contacts by their external ID

Any ideas on how I can solve this?

Cheers!

can you try applying this patch:

http://fisheye.civicrm.org/browse/CiviCRM/trunk/CRM/Member/Import/Parser/Membership.php?r1=18174&r2=18530

and see if it fixes it. There was a similar issue filed recently: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-3883
