Price Sets Problem on Upgraded Site
December 09, 2008, 10:57:25 am
I have now inherited a Drupal 5 site with CiviCRM 2.0.5. There are problems with price sets, so I upgraded to 2.0.7 but the problems remain. I can see from the civicrm.settings.php that, at least it seems clear, this site was originally a 1.9 and was upgraded by someone else to 2.0.

The problems are anyhow:

1. When I made a price set and then removed an item from it, the resultant page is not correct--the name of the price set is missing and I think also the message wasn't exactly right. I dont' recall this exactly.

2. The main issue is that when registering for an event, the price set works. When I View a registration, the price set looks perfect. BUT when I Edit a registration, the items which were chosen are not selected--nothing is selected in fact. And because one of them is 'required' we can't update any other field because we always just get a message that that price set control is required. Of course I can't check it, because it's in the read-only "text" mode.

Any ideas what this could be? I am wondering if the upgrade from 1.9 to 2.0 was performed correctly.

May be worth resaving the Contribution Page after the Price Sets is updated. I know there were examples of this happening earlier, eg if you change a Profile field, the changes are more likely to show correctly if you hop back in to Contribution Page >> Profiles and resave.

We did a new test and made the price set before adding it to the Event. Still fails. Also your solution doesn't seem to work.

Thanks.
