HELP with InnoDB PLEASE
December 09, 2008, 01:30:48 pm
Hey everyone!

I am excited to use civiCRM.. it does exactly what our organization needs via our drupal website.

Everything is up to code for a proper installation.. EXECPT innoDB.  CiviCRM (1.9) on the drupal installation page won't let me install b/c innodb is disabled or not installed.

I'm on an ipowerweb host, and i know people have mixed reviews about them, but i haven't had any major problems with them up until now.

On the phone with technical support, i tried to get a response from them on how to enable it.  I don't know where the my.ini file is to edit

They claim to not support innoDB.. some lady even told me that the my.ini file is the same as the php.ini file.

How do i get around this?? Is there a way to install civicrm without innodb? I know its possible to work around.. i've heard of people doing it before.

Any help or thoughts would be amazing!

you need innodb. civicrm will not function without innodb

the host needs to start the mysql server with innodb support. You should also be using 2.1 (1.9 is no longer supported)
