Is CiviCRM 2.0 still supported?
December 10, 2008, 04:41:49 pm
I'm planning a CiviCRM installation for an organization that's still running Drupal 5, which would limit us to CiviCRM 2.0. http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Versions+Supported says that only the current stable version (CiviCRM 2.1) is supported. However, I see that 2.0.7 was released on 2008-11-20. When will maintenance updates to CiviCRM 2.0 cease? That will help me decide whether I need to move them to Drupal 6 now or whether we can afford to wait. Thanks!

2.0.7 was a security update that we thought was important enough to justify a new release for 2.0.x. We hope that there will not be any more of those :)

Considering that 2.2 will be out by late january, i suspect that we will not have any more 2.0 releases. I'd move them to Drupal 6 sooner rather than later :)

In light of the fact that there are some other modules that are not yet available for Drupal 6, I'd like to be able to use Civicrm on D5. Although support will soon end, is there a place I can still download the D5 version? I have been unable to find one on SourceForge.

Thanks

Try here:
http://sourceforge.net/search/index.php?words=package_id%3A%28205038%29&offset=180&group_id=177914&type_of_search=files&pmode=0

When you go to SourceForge you have to select "Search" under "Download".
