Question about where to find "values" for use with Search Builder
December 11, 2008, 10:02:55 am
Hi,
I'm trying to use the Search Builder to search for a membership type called "NY Supporter". If I supply that name, I get a message that says "please enter valid value". I know it wants a number and, by trial and error, I was able to figure out that the number was 12, but I'm sure there is a way to do this that does not involve "guessing". "GID's", for example, are visible when you go "Civicrm profiles" or "Manage Groups", but how do I find other "values" that I can then use with search builder?

Thanks,
Cynthia

I don't think there is an easier way than going to Admin > Membership Types and roll mouse over Edit to spot the ID in the URL.

Would be very handy to have a link that just lists all the IDs for the various Types.

UH!! I never thought of that! Though not ideal it is certainly better than guessing and now I at least know how to find other "values".

Thank you so much peterd  :)
