Blanking out fields with import
December 12, 2008, 07:46:06 pm
We have a number of postal mailing envelopes returned.

We can update the revised addresses with an import, but I can't seem to be able to blank out an address when it is undeliverable and the new address is unknown with an import.  Is there a way to do this?

We are on version 1.9

Thanks Dave

Can you try this importing with "Fill" option ?

Fill wont work. This is a known issue and is scheduled for a fix when we upgrade import (in 2.x / 3.x)

I was using the update option rather than the fill, there is something funny about blanks.  I'll work around the issue with putting in a short string like "xx" or maybe a "." and I think that will solve the issue and be easy to find later if we have to replace.

Thanks for the feedback, I just wondered if I was missing something.
