CiviCRM v2.1 / admin menu - menu items appear twice

This is from Drupal 6.6, CiviCRM v2.1 SVN and Drupal's admin_menu module 6.x-1.1

Does anyone else using admin_menu see CiviCRM v2.1 generate the menus normally, or do they also see the menu generated twice?

This is what we see (note, two entries for each menu item; both entries appear in the left of two "CiviCRM" menus).

I haven't seen this behaviour with any other modules and admin_menu (and I use admin_menu on many Drupal sites I administer).

I am delighted to see CiviCRM appearing in admin_menu, even twice! That menu is a huge timesaver, and not having it for Drupal 5.x was a real pity.

That's funny because I get a different behavior using the admin menu. The CiviCRM menu only appears once but under the user management>>users>>list section So weird.

If I go into the admin menu settings and "wipe and rebuild" the admin menu. It appears fine (and once) then after a short while goes back under users.

so weird.

actually, just found this post http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,3622.0.html We're still on 2.1.2 so maybe the double menu is on 2.1.3? weird

i agree. the admin menu is a huge timesaver.

May be just disable admin menu module, and then re-enable it.

Actually, seems that admin_menu is aware of this issue. There's a button in ?q=admin/settings/admin_menu which says,

Quote
If you are seeing a duplicated menu or other problems, you may use this button to delete everything in the menu and rebuild it.

(( WIPE AND REBUILD ))

I installed three D6/CiviCRM2.1 sites yesterday, and this happened on two of the three. On both sites where I had occasion to test it, that button fixed the problem.

Found via similar issues reported in the admin_menu queue on Drupal.org
