Profile Selector Table Broken in Internet Explorer - Drupal

(This seems a better place than the general discussion part of this board... so I just moved it.)

For the longest time, the selector table for our custom profiles have been broken in IE (6 and 7). They look perfect in Firefox. But almost all of our constituents are IE users, so it doesn't matter that it looks perfect in Firefox.

In IE, the selector table is too wide and gets lost under our right-side nav. I have tried altering the style, which is in civicrm.css. It's div id "crm-container table". I can alter it all I want and it will respond in FF, but not in IE.

Here's an example. In IE, go to: http://dev.compartners.org/civicrm/profile?reset=1&gid=8
Search for Northampton in the "City" field. You will get a selector table with 2 rows. Look at the same table in FF, and you'll see the difference.

If you have any ideas for fixing this, please let me know. We're in CCRM version 1.7.9379.

 Thanks!
 Johanna

Double-posting to say that I see that someone had a similar problem here:

Edited to Add: I did turn off the blocks for the CCRM profile pages so that the right sidebar would disappear. This did not fix the problem. In IE, even if there's no right sidebar, the selector table runs off the right side of the page (but yet I don't get even a vertical scrollbar). This seems to be a bug.
