Enforcing the use of CiviContribute in creating a new Drupal user
December 27, 2008, 03:51:42 pm
Hi,

I have a brand new setup here:  http://sca-roadside.org/sca/

I have also created a CiviContribute member registration/renewal form:  http://sca-roadside.org/sca/index.php?q=civicrm/contribute/transact&reset=1&id=1

As you can see, the standard Drupal "Create new account" link is in the left column.

This is fine, but:  our organization requires membership in order to create a profile.

So, I would like to make sure that, when somebody clicks that link, they are REQUIRED to register through the CiviContrubute form.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Donald Lobo

I suspect this is more of a drupal issue than a civicrm issue

You can probably hide to "Create New Account" link on that page. I suspect you can either do it via permissioning or via a template

if you disable permissions, when new civiMember account is created, a drupal account will NOT be created. You have to make the change in the template...
