I recall that there is a separate procedure (separate from the normal process of creating profiles) to create a mailing list (ie group) sign-up form.  But I cannot find documentation on it anywhere or mention of it in the forum.  It doesn't come up in searches.  Can somebody point me to it?  I've spent all evening looking for it.  7 hours looking for the instructions for a 30 minute task.  Alternately, how do you create a contact sign-up form?  That does not appear to be an option when creating a new profile.

Of course what I found is that I was not seeing how to do it in profiles, due to a resource URL error, which was why I thought there was another way.  But it's good to know there is.
