State-Country widget
January 01, 2009, 11:41:44 pm
I had read the blog about new state-country widget and finally got to test it out. For most part it works the only problem I found was that on initial load the states were not based on the default country.

http://sandbox.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/register?id=4&reset=1

Also where can I fisheye the changes I would like to backport them to 2.1 if possible.

By default it will load states selected in "Available States and Provinces". So if you want to load states of default country, then you need to select only Default country in  "Available States and Provinces".

we are using jquery plugin for this widget in 2.2 and IMO changes are non-trivial for backporting to v2.1

That works, although not intuitive to me atleast. I didnt expect states and provinces for a particular country to show up if I did not add them to the settings.

Also noticed that on the event form default country is not selected by default, same url as above

On sandbox the states loaded are based on the default country (australia right now). However the country is not set to Australia (which is a bug, IMO)
