New Installation GID error

Hi All, I have just done an install of civicrm2.1 on joomla 1.5.8, I had a succesful install, created the link to civicrm, now when I click on the link, I get the below error, being a complete civicrm newb I have no idea as to where to start to work out what is wrong, any help pointing me in the right direction is much aprreciated.

When you say you "created a link to civicrm," I assume you mean you created a menu item?
If so, you must select the type of link from the dropdown and put an id number in the appropriate field (event, profile, contrib page).

Yes lcdweb you are correct was a menu item, this is what the url looks like, I did create the type as civicrm, not sure if there was anything else I was suppose to do.

Thanks LCDWeb, I think I am getting it now, is there a way to have the first CIVICRM page to come up like the DEMO Civicrm site does, (or like in the administrator page) with the shortcuts to the items on it.
