click on CIVICRM and I get "non-recoverable error has occurred.Could not find va

I have been using it (version 2.0 with Drupal 5.8) for a while successfully.  Now, when I click on CiviCRM from the main drupal menu, it takes me to a page with this:
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
Could not find valid value for gid

It should take me to the main CiviCRM menu.

What could possibly be going wrong?

Many thanks!

1. whats the url it takes you to? (u can hide the hostname part)

2. Did u modify any of the menu code/files?

it sends me to:

domain.com/civicrm/profile?reset=1 which is where I get that error.

thats the incorrect link. the link should be civicrm/dashboard?reset=1

not sure why your version just started showing that link. maybe some other module is overwriting civicrm menu hook

I was wondering too.  Now what's happening, without me changing anything is:
- I click on civicrm form the main menu and it sends me to site home page.
- I can manually get to "/civicrm/admin?reset=1" but when I click on the CiviCRM in the top breadcrumb menu "Home > CiviCRM", it takes me to the site homepage again.  I checked for any alias that would do this and could not find one.

Any ideas?

sorry, no idea. u'll need to debug the code and figure out where/how/when drupal is getting the wrong menu value
