replies not getting through (civimail & uas)
January 18, 2009, 02:55:58 am
Hi

I'm using CiviCRM 2.1 with Drupal and the UAS mail service.  My domain is rmmsintdb.com and the e-mail domain is newsletter.rmmsintdb.com.  I have followed the UAS Co-Op setup instructions exactly and just now double checked them.  The SOAP tester works fine.  When I send an e-mail I can track opens OK.  But when I go to reply (with forward replies enabled) the replies never get to the destination.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Are you sure that the MX records for your domain are set up properly?

I'm having the same problem on a 2.1 installation. MX record is set, opt-out works fine, replies do not. Any ideas on this from UAS ?

FYI, after a second attempt I got a "Relay Access Denied" response back.

I should also mention that this domain is using a DNS service which does not permit more than one MX record, so we're only using civismtp.uas.coop and not all 3. Is this a possible cause?

The original problem in this post was related to the soap proxy not being setup properly and it was returning an error.

Using just one mx record for civismtp.uas.coop shouldn't cause any problems, though it's optimal to use all three.

Matt, the problem you are having is because of some problems with your account. I will email you directly with details.

thank you,

Leyla
