CiviCRM OG Sync - creating new role assignments

Sync between Organic Groups and CiviGroups is functioning properly (one-way---please leave it that way, or if a change is in development; make it an option).

Wondering why the following is happening.

Whenever an edit is made to any field in an Organic Group in Drupal a new Role Assignment is created in CiviCRM. I can see why the role assignment would be created when a group is added and the Groups are updated properly. I can't understand why a new role assignment is created upon edits and why any existing roles wouldn't be deleted when new ones are built.

This seems like a bug. Please file an issue and we'll fix in a future 2.x release. If important to you, consider looking at the code and filing a patch along with the issue OR hiring someone to do the same
