Edit New Individual "Form"

I am sure that this has been answered or is really easy... but I can not seem to get it to figure it out.

How does one edit the "default Add new individual" form.  I would like to remove some fields and add others...

How do I do that?

Go to Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >>Site Preferences, there are options for selecting fields for Contact Edit form. By check the fields that you want in your Contact Add/ Edit form. This setting is applicable to all Contact types.

Shaliesh,

Thanks, but that is not quite what I am looking for.  As an example,  I want to remove a few fields, such as the "greeting" and "Current Employer" Fields. 

How do I do that?

You'll want to create a custom .tpl file in your custom templates directory (not advisable to edit the CiviCRM core templates). There is a wiki page about this here: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Customize+Built-in+and+Profile+Screens
