Batch update thank you sent date

Sorry to bother again, but I was wondering if there was a way to batch update the contribution receipt date and thank you sent date fields?  Say we export and send thank you letters out today to 100 individuals who contributed... how could we quickly set the receipt and and thank you dates to, in essence, clear them from our 'open' contributions?

Contributions has a batch update by profile functinality.

1. create a contribution profile with receipt date and thank you sent date
2. do a contribution search
3. check the relevant contributions
4. choose the batch update by profile action
