Relationship Type tab not displaying

I recently set up CiviCRM 2.1.4 in Joomla 1.5.8, and I'm having difficulty with the Relationship Type feature.

Maybe I'm blind, but the Relationship Type tab is not showing up on contact records (in either view or edit mode). I have it set to display in the Global Settings > Site Preferences, but I'm not seeing a tab on the Contact area. What am I doing wrong?

Administer > Global Settings > Site Preferences ie /civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/display?reset=1

Is Relationships checked/ticked under Viewing Contacts?

yes, that option is selected.

Am I just not seeing the Relationship Types tab? See attached screenshot.

You aren't seeing any of the tabs! - visit the demo site for what you should be seeing - a row of tabs showing Membership/Contributions/Change Log etc. Maybe it is a permissions issue but can't suggest where to start? Otherwise you may have to wait for a wiser head to come along.

Should have mentioned: I turned off tabs I don't need at the moment, and left more pertinent ones on.

These are my settings that achieved the previous attached screenshot.

Activities (on)
Relationships (on) 
Groups (on)
Notes (on)
Tags (on)
Change Log (on)
Contributions (off) 
Memberships (off)
Events (on)
Cases (off) 
Grants (off)
Pledges (off)

It was a permissions issue. I have my site password protected while I develop it. My resource URL wasn't resolving correctly.
