Is there a way NOT to share activities?

I forget if I post this already but basically if user X posts activities the user Y should not see a long list of activities at the CiviCRM Home but only see their activities.
Not sure how an office with 10 users could handle such a long list of todos

user X and user Y dont see each others activities if they are NOT CiviCRM admins.

You can always suppress activities by creating a custom dashboard template and not including the activity block

Hi,

I have the opposite problem of the original poster.

We have two people in our office who both work on grassroots events.  The Outreach Director schedules our volunteers to work certain outreach events, but it's our Field Organizer who actually coordinates the events--so she needs to be able to see who is scheduled.  In other words, we have a situation where these two people need to be able to see each others' scheduled activities.

Is there a way to create a custom dashboard for these users that would allow them to see both their own scheduled activities and the other person's scheduled activities?

We're currently running CiviCRM 1.5.7252 on Drupal.

1. v2.0 will most likely handle the below case quite nicely. i.e. Person A can schedule an activity between Person B and Person C. We are starting to document this on our wiki/blog, so any feedback would be great

2. A possible workaround for the below (depending on how big your org is): is to give both the folks "Administer CiviCRM" access. That way they can see activities scheduled by all users

3. If the above is not possible, you'll need to write some custom code (and template) to do this. I suspect hacking the current code to do what you need will not be too hard
